DNS Migration Guide

Move your DNS to Cloudflare in 8 minutes

Some hosting providers (Hostinger, certain GoDaddy configs) use ALIAS records at the apex that aren't compatible with our CNAME method. Moving your DNS to Cloudflare's free plan takes 8 minutes and unlocks CNAME flattening at your root domain — your website and email keep working exactly as they do now.

Enter your domain — we'll detect your registrar and show the exact steps

Go to dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up and create a free account. No credit card needed. The Free plan covers everything required for this setup.

Create free account

In the Cloudflare dashboard, click Add a site and enter your domain. Select the Free plan.

✓ DNS records are imported automatically

Cloudflare scans your current DNS and copies all your A records, MX records, CNAMEs, and TXT records. You don't need to re-enter anything — your website and email keep working.

Open Cloudflare dashboard

After adding your domain, Cloudflare shows you two nameserver addresses assigned to your account — something like:

Nameserver 1ana.ns.cloudflare.com(example)
Nameserver 2bob.ns.cloudflare.com(example)

Your exact values will be different — Cloudflare assigns unique nameservers per account. Copy both from your Cloudflare dashboard before going to the next step.

  1. Log in to your domain registrar or DNS provider.
  2. Find the DNS or Nameserver settings for your domain — look for "Nameservers" or "Custom DNS".
  3. Delete all existing nameserver entries.
  4. Add both Cloudflare nameservers you received in Step 3.
  5. Save. Propagation takes between 5 minutes and a few hours.
Note:Some registrars call this "custom nameservers," "third-party nameservers," or just "DNS." You're looking for anywhere that shows 2–4 NS values you can replace.

Cloudflare will email you once propagation is complete — usually 5–30 minutes, sometimes up to a few hours. You can verify at whatsmydns.net →

Once it's live, go to your Cloudflare DNS dashboard and add:

TypeCNAME
Name@ (root domain)
Valueserve.indexora.app
Proxy statusDNS only (grey cloud ☁)
Go to /deploy
