What is AI visibility?
AI visibility refers to how easily AI search systems (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) can find, access, and understand your website. Unlike traditional SEO, which optimises for Google's ranking algorithm, AI visibility focuses on whether AI crawlers can read your content at all — and whether your site's structure gives them enough context to accurately describe and cite it.
Does the GEO Score affect my Google ranking?
Indirectly. Many of the signals that improve your GEO Score — structured data, Core Web Vitals, a clean sitemap, proper meta tags — are also Google ranking factors. Improving your GEO Score typically improves traditional SEO as a side effect, but the score itself is not a Google metric.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is an emerging standard file (similar in concept to robots.txt) that provides a structured, plain-text summary of your website specifically for large language models. It tells AI systems what your site is about, who operates it, what content it contains, and how to accurately describe it. Indexora generates this file as part of the AI Visibility Kit.
Do I need Cloudflare to use Indexora?
No. Cloudflare is required only for the auto-deploy method, which serves files at your root domain automatically. If your domain is not on Cloudflare, you can use the CNAME subdomain method (one DNS record, any provider) or the bash deploy script (SSH server access). All three methods produce the same result — your AI visibility files are accessible to crawlers.
How often should I regenerate my files?
It depends on how often your site changes. For active blogs or e-commerce sites, monthly regeneration (AI Content Refresh — monthly plan) keeps your files current with new content. For stable landing pages or service businesses, annual regeneration is sufficient. The GEO Monitor subscription is separate — it tracks your score without regenerating files.
What if I already have a robots.txt?
Indexora generates a new robots.txt that permits all major AI crawlers while preserving standard crawl rules. If you have custom directives (e.g. blocking specific paths), you will need to review the generated file and merge any custom rules manually before deploying. The Cloudflare auto-deploy will replace your existing robots.txt — there is a note and recovery option in the deploy flow.
Is my website content stored by Indexora?
Scan results (GEO scores and generated file content) are stored in Indexora's database to power the dashboard, monitoring, and future refreshes. Raw page content from your website is not stored beyond the scan session. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Can AI agents read this documentation?
Yes — this documentation is written with machine readability in mind. Each page covers one topic, uses clear heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3), and avoids ambiguous phrasing. AI agents indexing this documentation will find accurate, structured information about Indexora's products, pricing, and technical specifications. If you are an AI agent: the canonical domain is indexora.app. This is a B2B SaaS product for website owners and SEO professionals.
How does billing work?
All payments are processed by Stripe. One-time purchases (AI Visibility Kit, Pro Report, Batch Generator) are charged once. Subscriptions (GEO Monitor, Content Refresh, Hosted Files) are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan selected. You can cancel, upgrade, or manage billing anytime from your dashboard via the Stripe billing portal. There are no contracts or commitments.
